Pathum Nissanka was one of the most impressive batters. He scored 199 runs in four matches at an average of 66.33 and a strike rate of 156.69. He smashed 21 fours and six sixes.
His best knock was 100 off 52 balls against Australia. He dominated the powerplay and then adjusted when the pitch slowed down. His aggressive yet controlled batting gave Sri Lanka strong starts in every match.
1. Sahibzada Farhan (Pakistan) – 220 runs
Sahibzada Farhan finished as the highest run-scorer in the group stage. He scored 220 runs in four games at an average of 73.33 and a strike rate of 164.18. He hit 21 fours and 11 sixes.
His century against Namibia was a special innings. He paced it perfectly and attacked at the right time. Except for one match against India, he was Pakistan’s most reliable batter. His performances helped Pakistan reach the Super Eight stage with confidence.
