Gujarat Titans fetched an eight-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders to seal sixth win of the edition.
Hardik Pandya achieved a half-century but Tim Southee and Andre Russell restrained Gujarat to 156/9 in 20 overs.
In response, Kolkata managed to score 148 in 20 overs, with Andre Russell scoring a quick 48.
GT captain Pandya achieved his third successive half-century following Shubman Gill (7) and Wriddhiman Saha (25) flunked to get going facing the Kolkata bowling squad.
However, the impulse shifted in Kolkata’s favour as Hardik was dismissed for 67. Tim Southee grabbed 3 wickets whilst Andre Russell fetched 4 in the 20th over to stop Gujarat Titans to 156/9.
Eventually, the Titans made up for a not so good batting show with a magnificent bowling effort to secure the top spot in points table.
Captain Pandya, who missed the previous game, is back for the Titans. He took place of all-rounder Vijay Shankar.
For KKR, Tim Southee, Sam Billings and Rinku Singh joined for Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins and Sheldon Jackson.
