Faf du Plessis could return to South Africa’s ODI and T20I teams

  • Veteran South African batsman Faf du Plessis recently met the team’s white ball coach Rob Walter. But Faf du Plessis has expressed his desire to play in ODIs and T20 Internationals. The former South African captain has not played for South Africa in the limited format for a long time.

Despite his availability in the T20 World Cup played in the year 2021 and 2022, the selectors of the South African team ignored him. During this, Du Plessis continued to play in T20 leagues around the world. He was the second highest run-scorer in the recently concluded South Africa T20 League. In this league, he scored 369 runs in 10 matches. His highest score in the South Africa T20 League was 113 not out.

If You talk about Faf du Plessis, he has not played an ODI since the 2019 Cricket World Cup, while 2 years ago in 2020, he played a T20 match against England as his last international match. Du Plessis hopes to return to the team soon and contribute his valuable experience.
