Shailesh Daga and Ayaz Bilawala combined to defeat Tushar Kulkarni and Viren Shah and lead Bombay Gymkhana A to a 3-0 victory over Balkan ji Bari in a round robin league match of the 29th Badminton 45 G D Birla Memorial Masters Inter-Club Badminton Tournament, sponsored by Aditya Birla Sunlife, at the Bombay Gymkhana courts.
Also winning their matches comfortably were CCI A, Bombay Gym B and Catholic Gym, who scored facile 3-0 wins over Jolly Gymkhana A, Andheri Recreation Club and MCA B respectively.
Naheed Divecha and Shailesh Daga made the semi-finals of the doubles event, defeating Ashok Sharma and Vipool Patel 15-7, 15-4, while Gautam Ashra and Naval Kumar made thr last four with 8-15, 15-6, 15-10 victory over Dilip Agarwal and Paras Siroha.
