And they appear to be in high spirits as Matic took to Instagram on Thursday to relish about a win in training.
The Serbian midfielder took it upon himself to call out Cristiano as he posed with the rest of his winning teammates.
Matic stated: “Winning team! @cristiano are you ok?” apace with a laughing emoji.
Ronaldo’s Utd and Portuguese teammate Fernandes then joined in with the gentle teasing by replying to Matic’s post.
He simply appended Ronaldo’s famous celebration: “SIUUUUUUUUU.”
Red Devils have not played since they trounce Norwich 1-0.
Their most recent fixtures facing Brentford and Brighton were cancelled due to a Covid breakout within the Manchester United squad.
But they will be hoping to come back to action on Monday when they take on Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Since coming at Old Trafford, new boss Ralf Rangnick has had an instant impact on the team.
The Red Devils have triumphed two and drawn one of his three games in-charge, something they will look to build on in the future.
