There are also serious allegations of black-marketing. Reports claim that Rao and other HCA officials forced Sunrisers Hyderabad to give them extra tickets. These tickets were allegedly sold for personal profit under differentiated prices.

SRH also accused Rao of using threats and pressure. The franchise claimed that Rao even locked the corporate box before one of the matches. This was seen as a way to pressure the team.

Before the season, SRH and HCA had agreed on a limit of 3,900 complimentary passes per game. But HCA allegedly demanded more.

Because of these problems, SRH complained to the BCCI and the IPL Governing Council. They wanted higher officials to solve the issue.

To fix things, HCA Secretary R. Devraj arranged a meeting with SRH officials. SRH representatives Kiran, Saravanan, and Rohit Suresh attended the meeting.

After long talks and a phone call with SRH CEO Mr. Shanmugam, both parties reached an agreement. They decided to stick to the original number 3,900 free passes.

In a joint statement, SRH and HCA confirmed the deal. They said the decision was based on past practice and mutual understanding.

Talking about SRH’s performance in IPL 2025, they did not perform well. They finished sixth with 13 points. They had 6 wins, 7 losses, and one match was washed out.
