Australia Announce Squad for ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 in India

Cricket Australia has confirmed its 15-player squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The tournament will be played across India and Sri Lanka from October.

Australia will complete its final preparations with a three-match ODI series against India. The matches will take place between 14 and 20 September in New Chandigarh and New Delhi. After that, the team will begin its World Cup campaign against New Zealand in Indore on 1 October.

Nicole Faltum and Charli Knott will join the group for the ODI series in India. However, they will return home before the start of the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL).

Several players are set for their first appearance in a 50-over World Cup. Phoebe Litchfield, Georgia Voll, Sophie Molineux, Georgia Wareham and Kim Garth are all included. Grace Harris, who was part of the title-winning squad in 2022, may play her first ODI World Cup match this time.

Molineux is making a strong comeback after a knee injury ruled her out in December. She is not expected to play in the ODIs against India but should be fit for the main tournament.

Australia is again led by Alyssa Healy. Senior stars like Ellyse Perry, Beth Mooney, Megan Schutt and Ashleigh Gardner will bring experience. Young talents such as Tahlia McGrath, Annabel Sutherland and Darcie Brown add balance to the side.

Cricket experts believe this squad has the right mix of youth and experience. Australia are the defending champions and will be aiming for another strong campaign.
