Lucknow Super Giants completed two big all-cash deals on Saturday, November 15. The franchise brought in Arjun Tendulkar from Mumbai Indians and Mohammed Shami from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both players will join LSG at their existing contract prices.
Big Changes Before IPL 2026 for LSG and DC
Arjun Tendulkar had been part of Mumbai Indians since 2021. He made his IPL debut in 2023. Arjun has played five matches for MI and has taken three wickets so far. LSG signed him for INR 30 lakh. The IPL statement said: “Bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar will represent Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) following a successful transfer from Mumbai Indians. Arjun will move to LSG at his existing fee of INR 30 Lakh.”
Mohammed Shami also completed his move to Lucknow. His transfer was teased by LSG on Friday. Shami had a tough time with Sunrisers Hyderabad last season. He played only nine matches and picked up six wickets. He struggled for rhythm and fitness after returning from a long injury break. SRH had bought him for INR 10 crore ahead of IPL 2025. The IPL confirmed the transfer with this statement: “Veteran fast bowler Mohd Shami will turn out for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after a successful trade from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Shami, the second-most expensive acquisition for SRH ahead of the IPL 2025 season at INR 10 crore, will move to LSG at his existing fee.”
Mumbai Indians also made a small but important move. They completed a trade with Kolkata Knight Riders to bring back Mayank Markande. MI got the leg-spinner for INR 30 lakh.
The day also saw major changes involving Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. Nitish Rana left RR to join Delhi Capitals. DC signed him for INR 4.2 crore. Rana scored 217 runs in 11 matches for Rajasthan in IPL 2025. He is an IPL title-winner with both MI and KKR. His presence will boost the Delhi middle order.

RR also got Tristan Fereira back. The all-rounder will return to Rajasthan for INR 1 crore. His fee was revised from the 75 lakh Delhi had paid for him at the IPL 2025 auction.
This was the third major move for Rajasthan Royals on the retentions deadline day. Earlier, the team traded Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings. In return, RR received Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.
