The Ashes series between Australia and England will start from next month. Whenever these two teams face each other in Test cricket, the excitement is high. At the same time, before this series, the England team has suffered a big setback. England’s star fast bowler Joffra Archer has been ruled out of this entire Test series.
Jofra Archer’s stress fracture injury has once again emerged. Due to this, he is going to be out for the whole summer for England. Archer returned home midway through the ongoing IPL 2023 and recent scans revealed a stress fracture in his right elbow. The fast bowler will now spend time with the England and Sussex medical teams, who are in charge of managing his injury.
ECB Managing Director Rob Key said that it has been a disappointing and troubling time for Jofra Archer. He is suffering from an elbow injury and hence will be kept away from cricket for some time. We wish him the best of luck in his recovery. I am sure we will see Jofra back to his best and winningest game.
While Archer is ruled out of Ashes wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow has recovered from his foot injury and will make his national return in the one-off Test against Ireland. At the same time, this player will also be seen playing in the Ashes.
