In the 59th match of IPL 2023 on Saturday, Punjab Kings registered a big win over Delhi Capitals by 31 runs. In this match, Punjab batsman Prabhsimran Singh made the biggest contribution to his team’s victory by scoring a century and he was also adjudged the player of the match for this brilliant innings.
Prabhsimran Singh, who came to open, won the hearts of all Punjab fans by scoring 103 runs in 65 balls hitting 10 fours and 8 sixes. Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has also become a fan of Prabhsimran Singh’s batting after this innings and he has praised this young batsman fiercely.
Sehwag said after this century knock of Prabhasimran, “The opportunities Punjab Kings have given to Prabhasimran, he has benefited. Now he will have to perform consistently and I think Punjab Kings will benefit a lot from such a player. “When he first came Prabhsimran Singh, he was bought for a lot of money (Rs 4.8 crore). This time, he got much less (Rs 60 lakh), but he proved his talent today.”
He further added, “He showed that he can hit those hundreds. He was bought for Rs 60 lakh and if a player scores that much and wins you a few games, it doesn’t get better. Sam Curran was bought for 18.50 crores, what has he done?”
