After winning the Test series, now the three-match ODI series between India and Australia is going to start from March 17. But Team India captain Rohit Sharma will not play this match. Hardik Pandya will captain in his place. The big reason why Rohit will not play this match has come to the fore.
In fact, the BCCI had already informed that Rohit would not play the first match. The reason for which was said to be his family reason. But now the matter has been revealed. It is being told that Rohit’s brother-in-law is getting married, due to which he will miss the first match. Kunal Sajdeh, brother of Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh, is going to tie the knot on March 17, so Rohit will not play the first match because of his brother-in-law’s marriage.
Team India’s vice-captain Hardik Pandya will captain in the first match in place of Rohit Sharma. This will be the first time when Hardik will take over the command of the team in ODIs. Till now he has captained Team India in T20 only. But now Hardik will captain in ODIs as well.
It is being told that Rohit Sharma will join Team India for the second ODI. The second match will be played on March 19 in Visakhapatnam. While the third and last match of the series will be held at the M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
