Sunrisers Hyderabad get their second win of the season as they beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad finally won a match after a pretty long drought. This is only their second win in this year’s IPL and first in the UAE. They last won a game on the 21st of April earlier this year. With this win they still keep their little hope of qualifying into the top 4. Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat.

Sanju Samson played a beautiful captain’s knock-up the order as he scored 82 runs off 57 balls. Youngster Jaiswal also played well as he scored 36 runs. Sanju single-handedly smacked the Royals bowlers all around the park as he continued his impressive form. He now holds the orange cap. Rajasthan scored 164 runs in their 20 overs which was decent at this pitch.

In the second innings debutant Jason Roy played a blinder of an innings as he scored 60 runs. He showed his side that he was the missing link all this while as he led his side to victory. Kane Williamson came in next and gave his team a captain’s performance as he stayed in the middle and anchored the innings expertly. He took his side to victory over Rajasthan Royals.

After this match, there was no change at the points table as Rajasthan Royals are still with 8 points after 10 games and Hyderabad now have 4 points but still are at the bottom.

Jason Roy was awarded the man-of-the-match performance for his exceptional debut.
