Gokulam Kerala FC have signed Manipur’s versatile midfielder Khungdongbam Krishananda Singh. The player, who started his professional career at TRAU FC had played two I-League seasons for the Manipur season.
The 25-year-old can play in all positions in the midfield and he was deployed in both the left and right flanks by his former club. He has also played as an attacking and defensive midfielder for the Manipur side in the past two ILeague seasons.
The left-foot player has scored three goals so far in the league and has made two assists. His debut goal in the ILeague was against Gokulam Kerala FC.
He has appeared for a total of 24 matches for TRAU. The player will add more vigour to the Malabarians’ Italian coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese’s attacking style of football.
“I am glad to be part of the current ILeague team. The playing style of Gokulam Kerala Fc was top-notch last season and I believe I can add strength to them. The club is very ambitious about its target and their philosophy aligns with mine. I am looking forward to winning more titles with the Kerala side,” said Krishnananda.
“We have been constantly tracking Krishnananda’s performance for the past two seasons. We loved his versatility and his urge to attack. He will strengthen our team for sure,” said Gokulam Kerala FC President VC Praveen.
