How Much is BCCI Asking For New Sponsorship? What is Team India’s Sponsorship Price?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is looking for a new sponsor after Dream11 decided to step away. Dream11 had signed a three-year deal worth ₹358 crore in July 2023. The fantasy sports platform informed BCCI that it will not continue as the lead sponsor.

The decision comes after a new law banned real-money online gaming in India. This forced Dream11 to change its plans. As a result, the Indian team’s jersey will not carry Dream11’s name anymore.

How Much Did Dream11 Pay BCCI For Team India Sponsorship?

Dream11 had been paying ₹3.17 crore per bilateral match. These are matches where India plays another country directly. For multilateral matches, such as ICC or Asia Cup events, Dream11 paid ₹1.12 crore per game. In these tournaments, the sponsor’s logo is only on the sleeve and is less visible.

Now BCCI has revised the rates. The new base price is ₹3.5 crore per bilateral match. This is almost 10 percent higher than before. For multilateral matches, the price is ₹1.5 crore per game. This is about 3 percent higher.

The rise in rates shows the strong value of Team India’s brand. Bilateral series are more expensive since the sponsor’s name is displayed on the front of the jersey. That space attracts maximum attention during matches.

Over the next three years, India is scheduled to play about 130 matches. These include two big events: the T20 World Cup in 2026 and the ODI World Cup in 2027. At the new base price, BCCI could earn more than ₹400 crore. The final number may be even higher if brands bid aggressively.

The bidding process for the new sponsorship deal will take place on September 16, 2025. But before that, India will play the Asia Cup starting September 9. The team is likely to feature in the tournament without any sponsor’s logo on the front of its jersey.

This new deal will be crucial for both BCCI and the sponsor. It will decide how much value a brand can get from being seen with Team India on the world stage.
