All five Women’s Premier League franchises have finalised their retention and release lists ahead of the WPL 2027 auction. The auction is scheduled for October 28 at the Grand Hyatt in Kochi.
The fifth season of the women’s T20 tournament is set to begin on January 14. The retention process has seen most teams keep their key players while also releasing several Indian and overseas names.
The franchises will now head into the auction with different purse amounts and overseas slots available. UP Warriorz have the biggest purse remaining at INR 3.65 crore.
Full WPL 2027 retained and released players list
Mumbai Indians Women have retained Nat Sciver-Brunt, Harmanpreet Kaur, Hayley Matthews, Amanjot Kaur, Rahila Firdaus, Sanskriti Gupta, Vaishnavi Sharma, Shabnim Ismail, Sajana Sajeevan and Amelia Kerr.
They have released Gunalan Kamalini, Milly Illingworth, Nalla Reddy, Poonam Khemnar, Saika Ishaque and Triveni Vasistha.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women have retained Smriti Mandhana (c), Richa Ghosh, Ellyse Perry, Shreyanka Patil, Georgia Voll, Nadine de Klerk, Radha Yadav, Lauren Bell, Prema Rawat, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar and Prathyoosha Kumar.
Their released players are Grace Harris, Linsey Smith, Dayalan Hemalatha and Gautami Naik.
Delhi Capitals Women have retained Annabel Sutherland, Chinelle Henry, Deeya Yadav, Jemimah Rodrigues, Laura Wolvaardt, Lucy Hamilton, Mamatha Madiwala, Marizanne Kapp, Minnu Mani, Nandni Sharma, Niki Prasad, Shafali Verma and Sree Charani.
They have released Alana King, Lizelle Lee, Sneh Rana, Taniya Bhatia, Eddla Srujana and Pragati Singh.
Gujarat Giants Women have retained Anushka Sharma, Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Bharti Fulmali, Georgia Wareham, Happy Kumari, Jintimani Kalita, Kanika Ahuja, Kashvee Gautam, Kim Garth, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Renuka Singh, Sophie Devine, Tanuja Kanwer and Yastika Bhatia.
They have released Danni Wyatt Hodge, Ayushi Soni, Titas Sadhu and Shivani Singh.
UP Warriorz have retained Deepti Sharma, Harleen Deol, Kranti Gaud, Meg Lanning, Phoebe Litchfield, Pratika Rawal, Shikha Pandey, Shipra Giri, Simran Shaikh, Sophie Ecclestone and Tara Norris.
They have released Asha Sobhana, Deandra Dottin, Kiran Navgire, Shweta Sehrawat, Amy Jones and Chloe Tryon.
Ahead of the auction, Mumbai Indians Women have INR 1.00 crore and one overseas slot. RCB have INR 1.15 crore and two overseas slots. Delhi Capitals have INR 1.10 crore and one overseas slot. Gujarat Giants have INR 1.25 crore and one overseas slot. UP Warriorz have INR 3.65 crore remaining.
