The former Aussies Women\u2019s cricket team captain labelled her decision to retire from cricket a difficult one but she felt it was the right time to move on from Cricket.\u00a0 Lanning thanked her <\/span>teammates, Cricket Victoria, Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers’ Association and her fans for consistently supporting her. Meg announced her retirement from international cricket in a recent video, in the presence of the media. \u201cThe decision to step away from international cricket was a difficult one to make, but I feel now is the right time for me. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to enjoy a 13-year international career, but I know now is the right time for me to move on to something new,\u201d said Meg Lanning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cTeam success is why you play the game. I’m proud of what I have been able to achieve and will cherish the moments shared with teammates along the way\u201d, she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While thanking all the people who have helped her in moving her in her career, especially her teammates, family, friends and fans, Meg Lanning said, \u201cI’d like to thank my family, my teammates, Cricket Victoria, Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers’ Association for their support to allow me to play the game I love at the highest level.
