Although Kazuyoshi Miura, a Japanese striker, is about to celebrate his 56th birthday, he is still literally making moves in football, according to BBC.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiura, in his fifth decade as a professional footballer, has joined Portuguese second-division side Oliveirense on loan from J-League outfit Yokohama FC,\u201d it wrote.<\/p>\n

In November, Yokohama had purchased the majority stake in his new club, Oliveirense.<\/p>\n

The oldest goal scorer in Japanese professional league football, Miura, who turns 56 on June 26, said that his new venture in Portugal marked his sixth country of play after stints in Brazil, Japan, Italy, Croatia, and Australia.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though this is a new place for me, I\u2019ll work hard to show everyone the kind of play I\u2019m known for,\u201d said Miura, who will celebrate his birthday on 26 February.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has previously said he plans to continue playing until he is 60. Miura spent last season on loan at Suzuka Point Getters, scoring two goals in 18 appearances for the Japanese fourth-tier side who are managed by his older brother Yasutoshi,\u201d BBC wrote.<\/p>\n

Amazingly, Miura started his career with Santos in Brazil in 1986. In 2017, he scored against Thespakusatsu Gunma and became the oldest player to score in a Japanese professional league game at the age of 50 years and 14 days, according to the website.<\/p>\n
