The national team, commanded by Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min, will compete with Brazil on 2^{nd<\/sup> of June in Seoul ahead of squaring off versus Chile and Paraguay on 6th<\/sup> and 10th<\/sup> of June.<\/p>\n}

The series of planned games with South American teams will give South Korea a \u2018good opportunity to assess their objective strength and weakness,\u2019 the Korea Football Association cited in a statement.<\/p>\n

Five-time world champions Brazil are the only team to have competed at every World Cup and can call upon some of the best players in the match, such as PSG’s Neymar and Roberto Firmino of Liverpool.<\/p>\n

South Korea are 29^{th<\/sup> in the FIFA rankings and enter their 10th successive World Cup following finishing second after Iran in Group A in the final round of Asian qualifying.<\/p>\n}

They will compete with Portugal, Uruguay and Ghana in Group H when the World Cup starts in Qatar in November.<\/p>\n

South Korea has proceeded to the knockout stage only twice.<\/p>\n
