Stephanie Frappart\u00a0will be the first woman to referee the\u00a0French Cup final\u00a0when\u00a0Nice\u00a0will clash\u00a0Nantes\u00a0next month, the country’s soccer federation (FFF) stated.<\/p>\n

Frappart was the first female to referee a Ligue 1 game, in 2019. She also acted in the UEFA Super Cup that year and a men’s Champions League game in 2020.<\/p>\n

Pascal Garibian, technical director of refereeing at the FFF, stated in a statement, \u201cHer appointment rewards both her work and her performance. It is well deserved.\u201d<\/p>\n
