India batter and IPL\u2019s franchise Kolkata Knight Riders’ new skipper\u00a0Shreyas Iyer\u00a0has showered praise on national teammate KL\u00a0Rahul, voicing his \u2018calm demeanour\u2019 and \u2018instinctive\u2019 on-field decision making capability makes him his favourite captain.<\/p>\n

Iyer played under Rahul during the ODI series in South Africa earlier this year and he was enthusiastic in his praise for his leadership skills.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was nice to play under him. Firstly, he is an outstanding player. The confidence he carries on the field and in the team meetings, the support that he provides to the players it great,\u201d Iyer stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s got a very calm demeanour and his on-field decision making is very instinctive. I really enjoyed playing under him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso, he gave me three overs of bowling, which none of the captains previously had done. So yeah, he’s my favourite captain!\u201d Iyer added.<\/p>\n
