After their historic victory at the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting took place in New Delhi, where the PM congratulated the team on their remarkable achievement.
After clinching the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence. Their return was delayed due to Hurricane Beryl in Barbados, necessitating a special charter flight arranged by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. The Air India flight, dubbed “Air India Champions 24 World Cup,” landed in Delhi early Thursday morning, greeted by enthusiastic fans despite heavy security.
At the airport, the team was welcomed with traditional Bhangra dancers. Skipper Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant joined the celebrations, dancing and interacting with fans. The team later moved to their hotel, where they were further celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony.
