The first-ever Lanka T10 Super League 2024 is set to captivate cricket fans as it begins on December 11, 2024, in Kandy. The opening ceremony will be followed by an electrifying clash between the Jaffna Titans and the Hambantota Bangla Tigers, kicking off a fast-paced tournament featuring cricket’s biggest names.
Organized by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in collaboration with T Ten Sports Management FZC (TSM), T Ten Global Sports FZE (TGS), and Innovative Production Group (IPG), the league aims to introduce a new era of 10-over cricket in the island nation.

The tournament will showcase six dynamic franchises, led by some of Sri Lanka’s finest talents:

• Hambantota Bangla Tigers: Dasun Shanaka (Captain)
• Colombo Jaguars: Angelo Mathews (Captain)
• Nuwara Eliya Kings: Avishka Fernando (Captain)
• Kandy Bolts: Thisara Perera (Captain)
• Galle Marvels: Maheesh Theekshana (Captain)
Sri Lanka’s newest cricketing spectacle promises a thrilling IPL-style playoff format
The group stage will run from December 11 to 17, featuring a round-robin format where all teams compete against each other. Star players from around the globe, including former Indian batter Saurabh Tiwary, are set to add international flavor to the event.
IPL-Style Playoff Format
The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, which will follow the IPL-style format:
• Qualifier 1: Top two teams compete, with the winner moving directly to the final.
• Eliminator: Teams ranked third and fourth battle to stay alive.
• Qualifier 2: Loser of Qualifier 1 meets the winner of the Eliminator.
The tournament will culminate in the grand finale on December 19, where the winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will face off for the championship.
