The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Led by India’s T20 skipper Suryakumar Yadav, the squad includes a mix of seasoned players and new talent.
One of the most exciting inclusions is IPL star Mayank Yadav, the pace sensation from Lucknow Super Giants. Known for consistently clocking speeds above 150 km/h, Mayank earned his maiden call-up to the Indian side after an impressive IPL season. Despite an injury ruling him out mid-season, his performance as a two-time Player of the Match has put him in the spotlight.
Joining him in making a debut for India is all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both players are expected to make a significant impact as India looks to build a strong T20 squad for the future.
The squad also includes wicketkeepers Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma, with the former retaining his place despite a poor series against Sri Lanka. Samson will share wicketkeeping duties with Jitesh, known for his consistent performances in domestic cricket.
India’s spin department is in safe hands with Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, and Varun Chakaravarthy, while part-time options like Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma add depth to the team.
The T20I series is scheduled to start on October 7 in Gwalior, followed by games in Delhi and Hyderabad on October 9 and 12, respectively.
