Exclusive: BCCI Announces T20I Squad for Bilateral Series Against West Indies

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently announced the Indian cricket team’s T20I squad for their tour against West Indies. The tour is said to comprise 2 Test Matches, 3 ODIs and 5 T20I matches that are all set to commence on 12 July 2023.

While giving rest to the Indian cricket team’s most experienced and valuable players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the BCCI has shown confidence in the youngsters for the five T20I matches. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, the squad will be led by Hardik Pandya under the vice-captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav.

The Indian Premier League’s young batting superstars, Yashasvi, Jaiswal and Tilak Varma also made it to the T20I squad for the Indian cricket team’s tour to the West Indies, along with budding pace bowlers, Umran Malik and Mukesh Kumar.
