When Harmanpreet Kaur took the field for India against Ireland in a Women’s T20 World Cup match on Monday, she became the first cricketer to play 150 T20Is.

Rohit Sharma has participated in the most shortest format matches (148) in men’s cricket. I received an emotional message from my teammates about how much it means to play 150 T20I games.

We are able to play so many games because of the BCCI and ICC,” Harmanpreet stated during the toss.

Suzie Bates of New Zealand has appeared in the second most matches (143), followed by India’s Smriti Mandhana (115), in women’s cricket.

Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of India, won the toss and chose to bat against Ireland on Monday in their final group match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

India forced a change by substituting Devika Vaidya for Radha Yadav, who was ill. In Ireland’s playing eleven, Georgina Dempsey took her place in place of Jane Maguire.
