The Premier League club said on Monday, Manchester United has wrap up the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid.
Casemiro, surprisingly knit with club for a fee that could allegedly jump up to 70 million euros ($69.53 million), was disclosed before the Old Trafford crowd ahead of United’s game opposite to Liverpool.
Casemiro stated the club website “The opportunity to start a new challenge at Manchester United and in the Premier League is extremely exciting”.
“I have worked with many great managers in my career and, having met with Erik (ten Hag) and heard his ideas, I can’t wait to work closely with him, his staff and my new team mates in the coming years.”
After joining from Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo in 2013, the 30-year old had a tremendously successful spell at Real, winning two league titles and one Copa del Rey, five Champions League trophies, and one Copa del Rey.
On Monday, Casemiro said in a heavy heart and weeping goodbye to Real earlier, giving special thanks to fellow midfielders Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
