‘Back’: Cristiano Ronaldo Returns to Al-Nassr Training Days After Wedding With Georgina Rodriguez

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to training with Al-Nassr. The Portugal superstar was back at work just two days after confirming his marriage to longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez.

The 41-year-old shared pictures from his training session on social media. He used a simple caption: “Back.”

Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced their marriage on Tuesday. The couple shared a picture of themselves holding hands and showing their wedding rings. Ronaldo captioned the post with “C” and “G” separated by a heart emoji.

The couple married in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal. The intimate event was attended by their five children, according to the public relations firm representing Ronaldo.

Ronaldo did not take much time away from football. He returned to Al-Nassr training as the Saudi Arabian club prepares to begin its domestic campaign on Saturday.

Ronaldo begins new chapter after World Cup

Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together for around a decade. They first met in Madrid. Rodriguez has regularly supported Ronaldo during important moments in his football career.

The latest training session also marked Ronaldo’s return to club football after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ronaldo had previously announced that the tournament would be his final World Cup. Portugal’s campaign ended in the round of 16. Spain defeated Portugal 1-0 after a late goal from Mikel Merino.

The result brought an emotional end to Ronaldo’s World Cup career. He made his tournament debut in 2006.

Ronaldo played in six World Cups. He featured in 27 matches and scored 11 goals. His 27 appearances are the second-most by any player in the tournament’s history.

Portugal reached the semi-finals in 2006. They were eliminated in the round of 16 in 2010 and 2018. They exited in the group stage in 2014 and reached the quarter-finals in 2022.

Despite Portugal’s early exit in 2026, Ronaldo had a strong individual tournament. He scored three goals in five appearances.

Now, he is focused on Al-Nassr and the new domestic season.:::
