Young Indian fast bowler Yash Dayal has started a new chapter in his personal life. The left-arm pacer got married to social media influencer Shweta Pundir in a private wedding ceremony on February 04.
Interestingly, the couple kept the wedding completely secret for more than a month. Fans and the cricket fraternity only came to know about it in March.
The news came to light after Shweta shared a wedding reel on her social media account. The video quickly caught the attention of fans online. Many followers congratulated the couple and wished them a happy married life.
According to reports, Yash and Shweta had been planning the ceremony quietly. Only close family members and friends attended the wedding.
Who is Shweta Pundir?
For those who may not know, Shweta Pundir is quite popular on social media. She is a vlogger and influencer with nearly 600,000 followers on Instagram.
Apart from her online presence, she also has a connection with cricket. She worked as a host during the International Legends League, where she was involved in broadcasting and presenting duties.
Meanwhile, Yash Dayal will soon shift his focus back to cricket. The pacer will join his team Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season.
The new IPL season will begin on March 28. RCB will start their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Yash Dayal is expected to play an important role in the team’s bowling attack. The squad also includes experienced pacers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Romario Shepherd.
However, RCB’s batting lineup looks equally strong. The unit is led by star batter Virat Kohli, who remains the highest run-scorer in IPL history.
With a strong squad and experienced players, RCB will hope to begin their campaign on a positive note this season.
