Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women produced one of the greatest finals in Women’s Premier League history. They chased down the highest target ever in a WPL match. RCB defeated Delhi Capitals Women by six wickets in a thrilling WPL 2026 Final.
Chasing a huge target of 204 runs, RCB showed great calm and class. After an early wicket at 9/1, the match completely turned. Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll put on a stunning partnership. The pair added 165 runs in just 92 balls. It was the highest partnership for any wicket in WPL history.
Mandhana played a captain’s knock. She scored 87 runs from just 41 balls. Her innings was full of elegant shots and smart placement. Georgia Voll gave her perfect support. She played fearlessly and hit the bowlers all around the ground. Together, they kept the required run rate under control.
Delhi Capitals Big Total Not Enough
Batting first, Delhi Capitals Women posted an impressive 203/4. Jemimah Rodrigues led the charge with a fluent 57. Laura Wolvaardt scored 44 at the top. Lizelle Lee added a quick 37. Delhi looked set for their first WPL title after such a strong batting display.
However, RCB’s batting effort proved too strong. The Delhi bowlers had no answers once Mandhana and Voll settled in.
This win gave Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women their second WPL title. For Delhi Capitals Women, the heartbreak continued. They lost a WPL final for the fourth time.
Smriti Mandhana was named Player of the Match for her match-winning knock. RCB also topped the season awards. Sophie Devine won Player of the Tournament. She also finished as the highest wicket-taker. Mandhana ended the season as the top run-scorer.
The WPL 2026 Final will be remembered for its high scoring, pressure moments, and a historic run chase that defined the tournament.
