The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that online ticket sales for the upcoming season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will begin very soon. The ticket window will open on Friday, December 26. Fans will be able to book tickets from 6.00 PM onwards.
The WPL 2026 season will start on January 9. The first phase of the tournament will be played in Navi Mumbai. The opening match promises to be a big one. Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face two-time champions Mumbai Indians in the season opener.
All matches in the Navi Mumbai leg will be played at the famous Dr. D Patil Sports Academy. This venue holds special memories. It is the same ground where India won the Women’s World Cup 2025. The matches in Navi Mumbai will continue until January 17. A total of eleven matches will be played at this venue.
WPL 2026 Tournament Schedule and Venues
After the Navi Mumbai leg, all five teams will move to Vadodara. The remaining matches of the league will be played at the Baroda Cricket Association Stadium in Kotambi. Vadodara will also host the playoff matches. The final of WPL 2026 will be played on February 5.
The Women’s Premier League continues to grow every year. It is now the biggest women-based franchise cricket competition in the world. Fans are expected to turn up in large numbers for the matches.
The BCCI has also shared ticket booking details. District by Zomato has been given exclusive rights to sell tickets for WPL 2026. Fans can book tickets through the District mobile app or website. At the moment, there is no update on offline ticket sales.
