Which IPL teams have invested in The Hundred 2025?
Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Lucknow Super Giants have all invested in The Hundred.
Reliance Industries, owners of Mumbai Indians, bought a 49% stake in Oval Invincibles. They paid £60 million. The remaining 51% is still owned by Surrey County Cricket Club. Oval Invincibles are the defending champions of the tournament.

Delhi Capitals’ co-owner, GMR Group, has made the biggest investment. They bought Hampshire County Cricket Club for £120 million. Later, they paid £48 million for the rest of the Southern Brave franchise. This gives them full control of the team.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s owners, the Sun Group, made history. They became the first Indian company to fully own a team in The Hundred. They spent £100 million to buy the Northern Superchargers. This also helped Yorkshire pay off debts of £25 million.
Lucknow Super Giants’ owners, the RPSG Group, invested £81 million in Manchester Originals. They now own 70% of the team. There were talks of renaming the team to Manchester Super Giants, but no name change has happened yet.

This is a huge step for English cricket. The eight teams in The Hundred are now valued at £975 million. Experts call this English cricket’s “IPL moment.” Indian owners now play a big role in this tournament.
