The Delhi Premier League (DPL) is back for its second season. The new season begins on August 1, 2025. The first match will be between South Delhi Superstarz and East Delhi Riders.
This year, the entire tournament will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. All matches will take place at this one location.
The tournament will run through August, with the final scheduled for August 31. If the final is delayed due to rain or other reasons, September 1 will be the reserve day.
This season, the DPL is bigger than before. Two new teams have been added Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Tigers. Now there are eight men’s teams in total.
The eight teams are divided into two groups of four. Teams will play in a mix of single and double round-robin matches. That means some teams will play against each other once, while others will meet twice in the league stage.
Each team will play 10 matches. There will be a total of 40 league-stage matches. After the league stage, the top four teams in the points table will move to the playoffs. The playoffs will decide the two teams for the grand final.
