RCB May Get a New Home Ground After Chinnaswamy Tragedy; 3 Potential Home Grounds for IPL 2026

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won their first-ever IPL title in 2025. The fans were very happy but the joy lasted only one day. A huge tragedy happened during their victory celebration at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

There was a big crowd outside the stadium. People tried to enter, and a stampede broke out. At least 11 people died, and more than 50 were injured. The celebration turned into a very sad event.

As per a report by Deccan Herald, the Chinnaswamy Stadium may not be used for IPL games again. It is now considered unsafe. This means RCB may need to find a new home ground for the next IPL season.

3 Possible New Stadiums for RCB for IPL 2025

1. MCA Stadium, Pune

The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune could be RCB’s new home. The stadium has not hosted IPL games for a while. It has a large capacity of 42,700 people. RCB has many fans, so this stadium could be a good choice.

It was the home ground of Rising Pune Supergiant in the past. It is a high-scoring ground, which will help RCB’s strong batting line-up.

2. HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala

Dharamsala is a beautiful ground in the mountains. Punjab Kings played some matches here in IPL 2025. The stadium has all the modern facilities.

It is also a high-scoring venue and helps fast bowlers. RCB pacers like Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar could do well here.

3. Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur

The Nagpur stadium is often used for Test matches. But it is fully ready for IPL games too. It has a seating capacity of 45,000.

The pitch offers lots of runs. It could suit RCB’s power hitters. Fans in central India would also get a chance to see RCB live.

Ahead of IPL 2026, RCB must make a big decision as their new home will be important for their future in IPL.
