The visitors have made three changes to India’s playing XI for the fourth Test against England in Manchester on Wednesday as Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj makes his Test debut. England won the toss and chose to bowl first. This was the fourth toss in a row that India captain Shubman Gill lost in the series.
Kamboj had recently played for the India A team that toured England. He was a late addition to the senior squad after injuries hit the Indian team. Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh was ruled out of the match due to a hand injury during training.

In another blow, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out of the entire series. He suffered a left knee injury and will return to India for recovery. To replace him, India included experienced all-rounder Shardul Thakur. Thakur had played the first Test in Leeds but did not perform well.
India also dropped batter Karun Nair, who failed to score big runs in the first three Tests. Young left-hander Sai Sudharsan replaced him. Sudharsan had made his debut in the third Test at Leeds.
England made just one change to their team. Spinner Liam Dawson came in for Shoaib Bashir, who fractured his finger. Dawson last played a Test for England in 2017, making this his return after eight years.
