India shone brightly at the Paris Paralympics 2024 as Dharambir and Pranav bagged gold and silver medals, respectively, in the men’s club throw F51 final. The two para-athletes delivered outstanding performances, further adding to India’s growing medal tally at the prestigious event.
Dharambir Wins Gold in Men’s Club Throw F51 Final
Dharambir dominated the competition with an exceptional throw of 31.09 meters, earning him the gold medal. His remarkable consistency and strength were evident throughout the event, as he outclassed his competitors to secure the top spot on the podium. This victory marks Dharambir’s first Paralympic gold, cementing his place as one of the top para-athletes in his category.
Not far behind, Pranav secured the silver medal with a throw of 30.39 meters. His strong showing in the final ensured India a 1-2 finish in the event, adding to the country’s success at the Games. Meanwhile, Amit, the third Indian in the event, finished in 10th place with a throw of 23.56 meters. Despite not reaching the podium, Amit gave a commendable effort, and his participation adds to the depth of talent India has in para athletics.
