Marcus Stoinis Helps Australia Qualify for the knockouts of T20 World Cup 2024
Stoinis has been pivotal in Australia’s advancement to the Super 8s of the T20 World Cup 2024. In a recent match against Scotland, his explosive 59 off 29 balls earned him the Player of the Match award.
Reflecting on his performance, Stoinis said, “The plan was to get myself in, play clean shots, and assess the situation. The pitch was good, and there was a strong breeze, so we targeted that area. The Scots batted well, but our strategy to take on one bowler at a time paid off, especially with Head hitting those three sixes. Consistent opportunities over the last few months, including the IPL, have helped maintain my form.”
